Apila (a clover) decoration was used in the beginning of 1970's for the second class quality production of the Paratiisi series. Beautiful green clover leaves and flowers in white attracted many people, and it was soon in production again, but this time in first-class quality. Items in here are from 2006-2008 and of the first-class production.
Traditional vintage tableware sets usually include one round platter and 1-3 oval or rectangular platters. It has been typical for a Finnish table setting to use a few larger decorative serving dishes to create a beautiful display. These serving dishes were not used for cooking or preparing food, simply for the pure joy of presentation.
This gorgeous vintage serving dish by Birger Kaipiainen has some marks of use, such as wear and small scratches. There are also some uneven spots on the glazing and a few dark spots. This beautiful dish is still completely safe and usable, and there are no cracks. The additional photos show some examples.
