Ceramic Moomin Tableware
The first Moomin tableware was made in the Arabia factory as early as the 1950's. At that time Tove Jansson herself designed the pictures for the first Moomin dishware. The model for the popular children's set was designed by Richard Lindh early in the 1980's and it has been proven to be a practical choice.

The production of ceramic Moomin tableware as we know them today, really started at the Arabia factory in the beginning of the 1990's. The combination of Arabia's ceramic expertise, Kaj Franck's functional design and the lovable Moomin characters has been a long living success.

Whenever the production of a certain Moomin mug by Arabia is discontinued, the prices get higher because of collectors. The stories from the Moomin valley continue on so many breakfast tables worldwide every day.
