Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply from 4.9.2018 on. When ordering from this web shop you are assumed to have read and accepted the terms and conditions. The agreement applies from the moment of placing an order in this web shop.

We reserve the right to not accept an order on serious grounds. In this case we will fully pay back any currency we received, by a refund with the payment method you paid with.

The Web Shop

The web shop sells products to adult private persons. The product prices include Finnish value-added tax (VAT) where applicable. For new products shipped to a destination inside the European Union (EU), the VAT is 24 % and for second-hand products the VAT is 0 %. Products shipped to outside the EU are tax-free in Finland. The receiver is still responsible for the customs fees and import taxes at the destination.

The prices in the web shop are displayed in EUR in the English language version, and in JPY in the Japanese language version, but due to technical limitations the web shop can only accept payments in EUR at this moment. The JPY prices are derived with an exchange rate of 1 EUR = 150 JPY (updated 10.08.2023). The shop’s exchange rate will be corrected if the current exchange rate changes significantly.

Ordering

Products are ordered from the web shop by adding them into the shopping cart and paying the total amount at the checkout page by one of the offered payment methods. All customers' personal data is handled confidentially. By ordering products from the web shop you accept the processing of your data by Astialiisa Oy.

Purchase contracts are made with the prices existing at the moment of placing the order. Special prices, such as clearances are announced at either the web shop’s front page or at the product pages of the products on sale. Possible changes to prices do not have an effect on orders placed before the changes were applied. We reserve the right for product and delivery price changes.

We reserve the right to not accept orders containing mispriced items.

Registering as a Customer

It is possible to order products from the web shop with or without registering as a customer. By registering as a customer you accept the processing of your data by Astialiisa Oy. This information will be primarily used for making your future orders easier, and for handling of the orders.

Payment and Payment Methods

Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to Astialiisa. For reclamations, please contact Astialiisa.

Order and Payment Confirmation

When we have received your order, we will immediately send you an order confirmation by email that will contain the details of your order. Always check the contents of the order confirmation. If you have questions about the order, or you notice something that needs to be changed, contact Astialiisa’s customer service immediately.

Keep the order confirmation for the event that you need to contact our customer service. When you contact our customer service have your customer number and the number of the order at hand. Always check that the package you receive contains the exact products listed in the order confirmation.

Delivery Options and Fees

The delivery fees include the cost of delivery and packaging. The delivery options available when placing an order depend on the contents of the shopping cart. In addition to the delivery fees displayed at checkout, for international shipping there might be customs duties and import taxes based on the destination country.

The delivery fees do not include any taxes or customs duties.

For products shipped to inside of the EU, or picked up from the store, all taxes are included in the product prices where applicable and there is no customs duties.

For products shipped to outside of the EU, no taxes are included in the product prices, and the receiver will have to pay all the taxes and customs duties separately, as required by the destination country’s customs. For more information about customs duty and import tax you can contact our customer service, or your destination country’s customs.

We reserve the right to combine or split orders into the most economical package types. This does not incur any extra fees to the customer. It might however affect customs handling.

Delivery Times

Our common delivery times vary depending on the order and the delivery option. We will notify you of possible exceptions to the delivery time estimates as soon as possible after handling your order. For estimates, see Useful Information.

We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure situations or any indirect harm caused by a delayed delivery. The web shop will display a notification if exceptions to estimated delivery times are expected.

Responsibilities and Guarantees

The web shop is liable for clear flaws and defects on the products, that have existed before the receiving of the products at the delivery destination. These are, for example the products breaking as a result of inadequate packaging during delivery, and flawed products that didn’t have the flaw documented on the product page. These are not however the slight wear second-hand products have accumulated (which is documented on the product page), any wear on the product packaging, or products that have manifested flaws during delivery despite adequate packaging – in this case the liability lies with the delivery service.

Our products do not mainly include any guarantees due to their age or nature.

Handling of Issues with Orders and Deliveries

If a product has gone missing or has been damaged during delivery, or it doesn’t in any way meet your expectations you must notify our customer service in writing at the latest 14 days after the products were received. If the package the products were delivered in is clearly damaged, you must make a claim with the liable delivery service.

In any situation where you have issues with our products or services please contact our customer service as soon as possible, so we may offer a suitable compensation and solution to the issue. These may be for example a partial refund, a gift card for our web shop or a new product to replace a damaged one.

Returns and Withdrawals

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to cancel this agreement within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends within 14 days starting from the day you received the last shipment.

In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to cancel the agreement in an unambiguous way (for example, by mail or by email). You can also use our printable return form, but its use is not mandatory.

To comply with the deadline for withdrawal, it is sufficient that you submit your notice of cancellation before the end of the withdrawal period.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from receiving and inspecting the returned products.
We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

You must return the goods without delay and no later than 14 days after informing us about your decision to withdraw from the contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You are responsible for all the costs for packing and delivering the products when returning them, unless otherwise agreed with our customer service. You are responsible for packing and handling the goods carefully.

You are only responsible for the kind of value decrease of the goods that did not result from treatment that is required for determining the nature, properties and functionality of the goods.

Unclaimed Packages

An unclaimed package is not the same thing as a return or a cancelling of an order. We will collect delivery and return expenses for unclaimed packages for which a canceling notification has not been received.

Disputes

Astialiisa’s web shop applies Finnish laws and regulations.

In a dispute situation our customer service will always aim to negotiate a solution that both parties can agree on. If you feel that our customer service cannot reach such a solution with you, we recommend you utilize the following resources:

The web shop is not liable for the content of third parties that are linked from the web shop’s pages. The web shop will not audit the contents of links to third-party resources after their creation.
