Arabia Oksa Rice Grain Porcelain Coffee Cup, Vintage

Riisiposliini (rice grain porcelain) is made with a technique in which small holes are carved on a raw porcelain dish. The glazing added later melts in the ceramic oven and fills the holes leaving them transparent. The result is a beautiful decoration on an otherwise plain white dish.

A set of a cup and a saucer for hot drinks. Usually used for serving coffee- or espresso-based drinks but also hot chocolate or tea.
