This Juksu pouch features a print in bright colours: there is Moominmamma having a cool glass of juice, Snorkmaiden and Little My enjoying a book, Moomintroll running around – and many others. The sun is shining, the flowers are in bloom and there is joy everywhere! The pouch fits a small coin purse, a phone and some small necessities.
Juksu, the name of the bag style, has its origins in the book The Exploits of Moominpappa. In this book by Tove Jansson, Moominpappa is still young and ventures out to the world with his friend Joxter (in Finnish: Juksu) in a boat called Oshun Oxtra. Joxter looks a lot like his son Snufkin, a more well-known character from Moominvalley, but Joxter wears a hat with a string tied around it. Juksu pouches are shaped slightly like a raindrop, narrower on the upper part. Juksu closes with a ball clasp and includes a 51 cm long pink strap. The pouch is made of durable cotton canvas and has a polyester lining.
