Arabia Siesta Moomin Mug 0,3 l, Second-hand

“Siesta 2009” The original artwork can be found in Moomin comic album #8. “Siesta” means a rest or nap in Spanish. On a blue and green striped background, Moominpappa is resting, leaning against a white birch. The sun is shining, and there are many white flowers on the ground.

Arabia has produced more than 80 different Moomin mugs using the Teema ceramic 0,3 l mug after 1990. The production was originally in Finland but gradually shifted to Thailand during the last 10 years. The seasonal mugs for summer and winter are in production only a short time each year with a new decoration. It is a larger type of cup typically used for drinking hot beverages, such as coffee, hot chocolate, soup, or tea. A mug is a less formal style of drinkware, and is not usually used in a formal table setting.
