Kilta (a guild) series by Kaj Franck had it’s designing started in 1946. It was designed to be multifunctional and could be stacked to fit in small city kitchens. It uses basic forms and is decorated with only a coloured glazing. Kaarina Aho designed a cruet stand and some other additional items to Kilta series in the 1950-60s: a Mustard jar, an oil/vinegar bottle, a salt/pepper shaker, a cup FC and a plate MB.
A Mustard Jar is a small pot with a lid. It can be used for interior decoration as well.
The lovely mustard jar has visible signs of wear and small scratches. There are also some stains on the unglazed bottom rings of the jar and lid, and a few small chips on the edge of the jar and lid inside. Please see the photos for examples.
