Birger Kaipiainen designed BK-model service for Arabia in Helsinki in 1968. Paratiisi (Paradise) is the most known decoration for this set. The white, undecorated version, Eeva (Eve), was mentioned only in the year 1970 pricelist. Aatami (Adam) was decorated with a blown yellow glaze, it was in production in 1970-1974.
Until 1974 all the BK model was made of hard faience and the shape of most of the plates was oval.
Because of the short production time of the monochrome white and yellow versions are a rare treasure. Mix and match the different versions of the decoration to create an elegant table setting and food presentation.
A luncheon plate or a side plate is most used in serving small salty courses, like pie, sandwiches, or salad.

These gorgeous oval lunch plates are original production from the year 1970. There are no factory stamps on the bottom. These rare plates show some signs of wear, such as small scratches. There might be also tiny lumps, pinholes, bubbles, dents or darker dots.
