Luna (the Moon) is a vintage everyday glass series made with thick and durable material. It includes glasses, bowls and plates in softly shaped basic geometric forms - the recognizable style of Kaj Franck. He designed the first part of the series, the drinking glass called Fontana as early as 1968, and the series was soon completed with thick-edged bowls and plates.
This popular everyday series was made in clear, green, blue, and brown pressed glass. Although its production was discontinued in 2001, it can still be found on many Finnish tables - either as small everyday decorative elements, or even as a part of the main setting for special occations in larger quantities.
A luncheon plate or a side plate for appetizers, salads, dessert, or bread and butter.
The plates have some minor signs of wear and small scratches. There might be a few tiny bubbles, which has been considered a part of normal vintage glass production.
