This bowl with Ruska glazing was hand-made at the Arabia Art Department.
Ruska’s rugged surface was created with an unusual decorating method: powdered black iron was sprayed to a matte glazing, giving each piece a slightly unique artisanal and smoky look. The colour of the glazing shifts in tone from paler to more deep tones.
A bowl is a round, open-top container to serve hot and cold food. You can use it for serving soup, salad, yogurt or as a mixing bowl. This bowl has also been used as an ashtray.
Rustic quality and earthy look defines this handicraft bowl. These beautiful bowls have might minor sings of wear and small scratches. There are also some pinholes in the glazing and dents in the ceramics.
