Arabia Kaarna Mug 0,45 l, Vintage

Kaarna (bark, the peel of evergreen trees) features a simple warm brown matt glaze over a striped surface.

Designer Ulla Procopé discovered these qualities, as she emphasised the handcrafted earthiness of a ribbed surface with a brown glazing. The result is a soft wavy shape that has a natural and wood-like texture.

Large mugs or ceramic pints are drinkware for hot or cold drinks like beer, tea, hot chocolate etc. Traditionally these ceramic pints have been used for sauna drinks in Finland, though nowadays it’s more common to drink from mugs or glass pints. They are collectibles and fun gifts for those who like to settle down with a long drink and their own special mug.
