Pomona (name of a goddess) was the goddess of fruitful abundance; fruit trees, gardens and orchards in ancient Roman religion and myth. In Raija Uosikkinen's cute Pomona series, there are nine different patterns of fruit and berries. Colourful prints of the fruit and berries cover the surface of these popular dishes.
A Pomona jar is a container that can be used to serve jam, jelly or sweets. It is a popular collectible and is often used to decorate the kitchen.
The lovely jar has some stain on the unglazed bottom ring. There are small lumps, pinholes, and dark spots in the glazing. Please see the additional photos.
