Arabia Kataja Plate 17 cm, Vintage

Kataja (a juniper) features hand painted stripes in hues of blue and green. The cool and calmly shaded colours give this series a forest-like ambience and provide an atmosphere of freshness, like a cool stream flowing amongst these fragrant fir trees.

The stripes create a watercolour-like effect, which brings variation and liveliness to an otherwise simple pattern. The hand-painting gives an authentic artisanal feel to this Nordic vintage series.

A side plate, dessert plate, bread plate or a plate for cake or sweet buns. This plate forms a set with a coffee cup. A celebratory Finnish coffee setting includes a coffee cup, saucer, cake plate with a spoon and a serviette for every guest. This plate also functions as a bread plate at the dinner table.

These rare plates are in good condition, there are no signs of wear. Yet there are lot of small imperfections in the glazing, such as small bubbles, lumps and pinholes. The additional photos show examples.
