Menu is an elegant and simple form designed in the 1980s by Peter Winquist. Menu was produced in two colour versions: white (1984-1987) and a colour gradation of light egg-shell blue (1984-1996). The delicate and soft blue colour gradation is suggestive of thin wisps of cloud in a hazy evening sky.
Pentik Menu is made with Pentik’s famous ‘dotted ceramic’. According to Pentik, the naturally iron-rich clay of the Arctic causes spots in their ceramic mass. It was the idea of Kaj Franck to add more iron into the ceramic and make these spots into a design feature. These adorable spots give the dishes a lovely artisanal effect.
