Arabia Paratiisi Platter 29 x 26 cm, Vintage

Paratiisi (paradise) series is made with simple and beautiful forms complemented by a rich design print of fruits, violets and blackcurrants. Paratiisi was first manufactured 1969-1974, after which it was discontinued because of reorganisation of the production. In 1988 Paratiisi was renewed and was produced in Finland until 2016, after which the production moved to Thailand.

Traditional vintage tableware sets usually include one round platter and 1-3 oval or rectangular platters. It has been typical for a Finnish table setting to use a few larger decorative serving dishes to create a beautiful display. These serving dishes were not used for cooking or preparing food, simply for the pure joy of presentation.

This original and rare vintage platter shows some small signs of wear and small scratches. There are also some lighter spots and tiny bubbles, lumps or dents on the glazing.
