Kipinä (spark) is a large bright red silkscreen printed decoration. This bold design has hints of traditional folk art and craft style and it beautifully adds energy to the simple and modern forms of Göran Back's coffee cup. Kipinä feels surprisingly modern for a design made in the early 70s.
The designer of this super cute and playful retro-style ornament is unknown.
A set of a cup and a saucer for hot drinks. Usually used for serving coffee- or espresso-based drinks but also hot chocolate or tea. Beautiful coffee cups are popular as gifts. They fit well for both a hurry-free everyday and celebrations.
Many collect these cups for their diverse decorations and for the fact they don't take up much space and look cute even on a shelf.
These cute vintage cups have some small worn white spots and a few tiny scratches and darker dots in the red paint. There is some unevenness on the handles and in the glazing such as tiny bubbles. There are no stamps on the saucers. They are original production by Arabia Finland, but they were stamped on top of the glaze and have worn away in use. The rare cups are still beautiful to use for any table setting.
