Palermo (the capital of the Italian island of Sicily) is a pattern with grape, leaf and cherry ornamentation. The colours are bright: red cherries and blue grapes with moss green and turquoise leaves finalized with moss green edges. The hand-painted dishes were complemented with green plates.
The Palermo decoration was Dorrit von Fieand's first hand-painted decoration. It brought a new style to legendary Valencia Set designed by Ulla Procopé. The Palermo series is rare and collectible.
A sugar bowl is a container or a jar, usually used for serving sugar with coffee or tea. It can be used for interior decoration as well.
This beautiful sugar bowl is a bit crooked. The glaze on the lid is a bit uneven and it has an extra spot of color on the inside. It is still beautiful to use for any table setting.
