Arabia Kilta Green Square Bowl, Vintage

Kilta (a guild) series by Kaj Franck had it’s designing started in 1946. It was designed to be multifunctional and could be stacked to fit in small city kitchens. It uses basic forms and is decorated with only a coloured glazing.

Modern square or rectangular serving dishes are characterized by their versatility: they are suitable for use from oven to table and in the refrigerator. They also are stackable and suitable for smaller homes. You can combine different colours and sizes to reflect your own personal style.

This Kilta square bowl has a clear sign of wear such as tiny scratches specially inside and on the edge of the bowl, and the Arabia stamp has worn off from the bottom. The green glazing is a bit uneven: there are a few tiny dents and the green coloured glaze is thinner and lighter on the edges for example, as is typical to the Kilta series.
