Uhtua (a village in Karelia) was famous for its tradition of singing the poems of Kalevala. You might still find these beautiful shades of blue in its traditional wooden houses. This simple series creates a beautiful rustic lakeside feel and has a calm and composed atmosphere.

The stripes create a watercolour-like effect, which brings variation and liveliness to an otherwise simple pattern. The hand-painting gives an authentic artisanal feel to this nordic vintage series.

You can serve sauce or gravy directly from the oven or microwave oven to the table and even keep it in a refrigerator. When serving hot food, you can easily use the matching series bread plates under the bowls.

This practical sauceboat is in good vintage condition. There are only minor dark signs of wear. There are a few tiny bubbles on the glazing and some tiny dark dots. The additional photos show examples.
