Arabia Kaira Plate 17 cm, Vintage

Kaira (an arctic forest wilderness) decoration by Anja Jaatinen-Winquist features hand-painted stripes in beautiful chocolate brown and dark navy blue.

The stripes create a watercolour-like effect, which brings variation and liveliness to an otherwise simple pattern. The hand-painting gives an authentic artisanal feel to this Nordic vintage series.

A side plate, dessert plate, bread plate or a plate for cake or sweet buns. This plate forms a set with a coffee cup. A celebratory Finnish coffee setting includes a coffee cup, saucer, cake plate with a spoon and a serviette for every guest.

This plate also functions as a bread plate at the dinner table.

These hand-painted plates have some small imperfections, like uneven colour on the blue stripe or tiny lumps or dents on the glazing. The plates are in good vintage condition, but you might see a few odd small scratches. Please see the additional photo for an example.
