Arabia Faenza Ruskeakukka Plate 20 cm, Vintage

Faenza (a town in Northern Italy, birthplace of faience ceramics) comes in four variations in decoration; with flowers printed in brown or blue, and with stripes either in yellow-and-black or black alone.

Arabia Faenza adds bold designs to a simple functional shape. It is a clever combination of 1950s Finnish mid-century modernism and the 1970s graphic style. Faenza's design won the gold medal in Italy in 1971 at the Faenza Ceramic Biennale.

You can combine the floral and striped variations of the Faenza decoration to create contrast between natural and geometric shapes. This design made by Inkeri Seppälä will bring a modern Nordic touch to your home.

A luncheon plate or a side plate is often used in sets with teacups. Plates of this size are most used in serving small salty courses, like pie, sandwiches, or salad.

These cute and popular plates have some small imperfections on the pattern, a few tiny dark spots, and some unevenness on the glazing like tiny lumps or bubbles. However these beautiful and popular plates are still in good vintage condition.
