Arabia Palermo Plate 25,5 cm, Vintage

Palermo (the capital of the Italian island of Sicily) is a pattern with grape, leaf and cherry ornamentation. The colours are bright: red cherries and blue grapes with moss green and turquoise leaves finalized with moss green edges. The hand-painted dishes were complemented with green plates.

The Palermo decoration was Dorrit von Fieand's first hand-painted decoration. It brought a new style to legendary Valencia Set designed by Ulla Procopé. The Palermo series is rare and collectible.

A plate for a main course, often used as a dinner plate. This is usually a flat plate type. These gorgeous plates have very small unevenness on the glazing or colour imperfections which do not show well in photographs.
