Arabia Salla Teacup 0,28 l, Vintage

Salla (an arctic hill in Finnish Lappland, a female given name) features grey and white stripes on a base of soft gray coloured stoneware mass. The pastel colour palette has understated elegance and a beautiful glow. This nordic vintage design has a soft and calm atmosphere, like winter in Finland.

The subtle grey stripe shifts between tones of green and blue depending on the lighting. The stripes create a watercolour-like effect, which brings variation and liveliness to an otherwise simple pattern. The hand-painting gives an authentic artisanal feel to this nordic vintage series.

Arabia Salla was designed by Raija Uosikkinen in the 1970s for Ulla Procope's popular S-model.
